Job Description:

AL Solutions is partnering with a leading ADC platform solution provider to find a Director of Manufacturing Chemistry. This role requires close collaboration with Process Development, Quality, and EH&S to oversee chemical manufacturing processes, ensuring they are safe, scalable, compliant, and continuously improved.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a manufacturing team in executing chemical processes.
  • Support technology transfer from process development to cGMP manufacturing.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to streamline execution and foster innovation.
  • Oversee process development and ensure proper documentation (Batch Records, SOPs).
  • Implement strategies to enhance manufacturing performance using sound engineering principles.
  • Lead development of process controls, including risk assessments and criticality analysis.
  • Resolve deviations and process issues using data-driven approaches.
  • Collaborate with Process Development and Quality to maintain process control.
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Align product schedules, budgets, and performance with client deliverables.
  • Promote efficiency and cost reduction through continuous improvement.
  • Develop proactive systems to mitigate safety and process risks.
  • Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and accountability.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • PhD or MS in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • A background in Chemistry, experiences in process scale-up from development to manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience within Small Molecules – ideally a 'true expert'.
  • Experience with process transfer and scale-up.
