Job Title: Contract Negotiator III

Centene Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Contract Negotiator III to join our team. As a key member of our network development team, you will play a critical role in recruiting and contracting with healthcare providers to ensure our members receive high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and develop a network of healthcare providers to meet the needs of our members.
  • Negotiate contracts with health systems, hospitals, and ancillary service providers to ensure compliance with corporate, health plan, and state guidelines.
  • Lead assigned recruitments and ensure they result in complete and accurate standard contracts that meet objectives.
  • Facilitate and oversee the provider setup and contract configuration to ensure accurate claims adjudication.
  • Initiate contact and identify potential providers by geographic and specialty needs, and update our database accordingly.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and contracted providers to implement and maintain contract compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in contracting, contract analysis, provider relations, or provider experience in a hospital or physician's office/group setting.
  • Working knowledge of state and/or federal healthcare programs (Medicaid, Medicare) is preferred.
We are ideally looking for candidates with experience in:
  • Health system, hospital, ancillary, and professional services contracting, including behavioral health.
Candidates must reside in the state of North Carolina to be considered for this role.Benefits:
  • Competitive pay: $67,000 - $121,300 per year.
