Job Title: Diesel Technician/Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team at Rihm Family Companies. As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing engine and chassis repairs on a variety of trucks, including Kenworth, Peterbilt, International, Freightliner, and vocational vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot engine and chassis problems
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines and chassis
  • Write detailed repair stories for documentation purposes
  • Coordinate with warranty administrators to ensure maximum profit recapture
  • Adhere to manufacturer's policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Participate in technical training assigned by management
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of Fleet or Dealership experience
  • Possess own tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASE certification
  • CDL certification
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level is moderate to loud at times.
