Job Overview

University of California Irvine is seeking a qualified individual to fill a temporary Unit 18 Lecturer position in the Program in Public Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in graduate and undergraduate programs, with a focus on public health policy, health communications, data analytics, and bio-statistics.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D., Dr.P.H., M.D., or equivalent degree in public health or a related field. They will be expected to teach core requirements of the undergraduate degree programs, including the Public Health Policy major, the Public Health Sciences major, the Public Health minor, and the Global Health minor, as well as graduate programs. The candidate should have excellent pedagogical and organizational skills, with the ability to work with a diverse group of colleagues and teach and mentor a diverse student body.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong background in public health, with expertise in teaching foundations of public health, health policy, public health management, statistics, environmental health, and/or chronic and infectious disease epidemiology.
