Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Educator to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Critical Care Educator, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical and non-clinical educational programs for our operational components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of our staff and patients
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership in all areas of professional practice, creating a healthy work environment and ensuring educational goals are aligned with organizational goals and strategic plan
  • Integrate best practice based on evidence into all educational activities, demonstrating ability to conduct a thorough literature review and disseminate research findings
  • Establish collegial partnerships with other professionals, leaders, stakeholders, and others to facilitate practice and promote quality outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field (preferred)
  • 3 years of directly related experience
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement
Working Conditions

This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

This position also requires working with hazardous materials and wearing personal protective equipment.
