About the Job

Avera is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Manager to lead our laboratory department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, directing, and coordinating all laboratory functions and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure high-quality services.
  • Direct and coordinate laboratory staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Laboratory Director and Administration to position Avera competitively in the marketplace.
  • Enhance the delivery of laboratory services at Avera.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Associate Degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician with no less than 5 years of experience.
  • 4 or more years of clinical laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing specialties.
  • One to three years of management experience preferred.
  • ASCP or NCA certification preferred.
  • CPR certified or must be obtained within 1 week of hire.
  • Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) and DOT Drug Testing certified or able to obtain within one year from date of hire.
  • Valid driver's license required.
