Job Summary:
The E-Commerce Order Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products from arrival to receipt by customers. This role involves picking and packing e-commerce orders in preparation for shipment, utilizing a handheld computer and Warehouse Management System software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking and packing e-commerce orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assessing orders to determine proper carton sizes and packing methods
- Ensuring orders are shipped accurately and safely
- Training new and seasonal personnel on proper picking and packing procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Performing general warehouse duties and assisting in other departments as needed
Requirements:
- Accuracy in counting and close attention to detail
- Familiarity with computers and willingness to learn Warehouse Management System software
- Flexibility and ability to work with interruptions and changing priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
Physical Requirements:
- This role operates in a normal warehouse environment with varying temperatures, moving vehicles, and dust
- Lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Constant movement, repetitive motion, and use of limbs to perform tasks
