Instructional Leader for Special Education in Denver

About the Role:
A highly skilled and dedicated Instructional Leader is sought to join our team as a Special Education Teacher at KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy. In this role, you will be responsible for driving student outcomes and creating an exceptional student experience.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, a Special Education License or TEE through CDE, and a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience. They will also possess excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, outstanding written and oral communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities inherent in an entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement standards-based unit plans and daily lesson plans
- Design and deliver rigorous, backwards-planned lessons
- Use data to adjust short- and long-term plans in order to meet students' learning needs
- Establish and maintain relationships with students and families based on trust and respect
- Participate in active presence and strategic supervision and monitoring to ensure student safety and engagement in rigorous learning
