Job Summary:

Eden Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide in-home services to our patients in Everett, WA. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans ordered by physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct regular caseload reviews with supervising OTs to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Evaluate patient assessment findings and communicate relevant information to the healthcare team.
  • Guarantee timely communication of patient status changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on occupational therapy modalities and techniques.
  • Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with patient needs and standards of care.
  • Provide clear, concise documentation in patient records, adhering to reimbursement guidelines and agency policies.
  • Assess and manage patient pain, utilizing appropriate techniques and modalities.
  • Participate in case conferences to discuss patient progress, plans, and new challenges.
  • Recommend referrals to other disciplines and community resources as needed.
  • Obtain necessary supplies and equipment to provide high-quality care.
  • Support cultural practices that do not harm patients or interfere with medical treatment.
  • Teach, supervise, and counsel patients, caregivers, and families on nursing care needs.
  • Participate in the agency's Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
  • Identify and mitigate environmental, safety, and mobility risks in patient environments.
  • Maintain current knowledge of community resources and access them as needed.
Requirements:
  • Meet state licensure or regulation requirements for occupational therapy assistants.
  • Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy assistant education program.
  • Eligible to take or successfully completed the entry-level certification examination for occupational therapy assistants.
  • Prior home health experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proof of automobile insurance and MVR check.
  • Proof of current CPR certification.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and national sex offender clearance.
