The Weingarten, a wine bar, restaurant & event venue in Belleville, seeks a skilled Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the cleanliness, quality, and efficiency of the kitchen.
- Manage and train kitchen staff, with input from other department managers.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency and increase profit margins.
- Coordinate with the Sales Team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of event-related food and beverages.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health codes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen experience required; management experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility with daytime and evening shifts.
- ServSafe Certification, State of IL Department of Public Health Food Service Sanitation Management Certificate, and Food Allergen Certification preferred.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and people management skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
