Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Public Works Operator to join our team at the City of Kalispell. As a Public Works Operator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of the city's infrastructure, including but not limited to:

  • Operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, graders, and refuse trucks
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on city vehicles and equipment
  • Assisting with snow removal and other winter maintenance tasks
  • Providing support to other departments and divisions as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment and vehicles preferred
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 100 pounds
