Supervisor Technical Pathology Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Technical Pathology to join our team at MetroHealth. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and effective supervision of assigned areas within Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology.
Key Responsibilities:- Creates an optimal environment for all phases of laboratory operations, including efficient sample processing, accurate/timely performance of laboratory testing, monitoring inventory, maintaining adequate supplies, and optimizing resource utilization.
- Provides training and orientation to staff, students, and residents as necessary.
- Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
- Registered Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or equivalent registration.
- Bachelor of Science or Associate of Science Degree in related field.
- Five years of laboratory bench experience as a Laboratory Technologist with a minimum of three years of experience in Hematology, Chemistry, Core Laboratory, Microbiology, Cytology, Blood Bank, Histology, Mortality Service, Support Services, Central Accessioning/Customer Service, Immunology/Virology/Molecular Testing, or Satellite and Rapid Response Laboratories.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Supervisory experience.
- Problem solving and analytical troubleshooting skills.
