Job Summary

The City of Monticello, MN is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Fire Department as Reserve Firefighters. As a Reserve Firefighter, you will play a critical role in protecting the lives and property of our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, providing effective rescue and firefighting work.
  • Perform fire prevention and education activities to promote public safety.
  • Conduct equipment and facility maintenance, as well as housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform other duties as apparent or assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of Monticello or the surrounding area.
  • Must possess a valid Minnesota Driver's license.
  • Paid on-call fire personnel are eligible for paid sick and safe leave. Other volunteer positions are not eligible for the City benefit program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Firefighting experience and related certifications are highly desirable.
