Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a skilled Aircraft Installation Specialist to join our team in GAC Savannah. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for performing complex aircraft installations, repairs, and tests, ensuring all parts and assemblies meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install and repair aircraft components, including lines, cables, and other systems, using required tools and prints.
  2. Manage parts and disposition of parts in assigned work station, ensuring accurate documentation and control.
  3. Instruct and assist team members in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders, developing methods and shop aids to resolve production installation difficulties.
  4. Coordinate work with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and quality installation.
  5. Responsible for quality and efficiency of own installations, making repairs as needed and ensuring installations meet conformity.
  6. Use a variety of tools and equipment to successfully complete component installation, troubleshooting mechanical and structural problems as needed.
  7. Update and sign required logs and records, maintaining a neat and orderly work area and supporting company FOD and 5S programs.
  8. Demonstrate Gulfstream Manufacturing competencies in the employee effectiveness review, maintaining and using all logs and records as required.
  9. Support continuous improvement processes as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required; 5 years aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience preferred.
  2. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  3. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams, skilled in close tolerance work and use of special tools.
  4. Ability to operate hydraulic mule pumps, tools, fixtures, and jigs, climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
