Aerospace Installation Specialist

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a skilled Aircraft Installation Specialist to join our team in GAC Savannah. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for performing complex aircraft installations, repairs, and tests, ensuring all parts and assemblies meet requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Repair: Perform the most complex structure or aircraft installations, repairs, rework, or tests, requiring familiarity with all functions of components and systems to be installed.
- Quality Control: Ensure all parts and assemblies meet requirements, using proper documentation and control to manage all parts and disposition of parts in assigned work stations.
- Training and Coordination: Instruct and assist other team members in interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders, develop methods and shop aids to resolve production installation difficulties and problems, and coordinate work with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Efficiency and Quality: Responsible for quality and efficiency of own installations, make repairs per discrepant material tags, material review request, and perform necessary work to ensure installations meet conformity.
- Tool Operation: Use a variety of tools and equipment to successfully complete component installation, troubleshoot mechanical and structural problems, and update and sign required logs and records.
- Leadership and Teamwork: May be required to plan and organize workloads and resource requirements, maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company FOD and 5S programs, and comply with all safety regulations.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required, 5 years aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience, and 2 years Gulfstream aircraft experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Must be able to use mathematical formulas, thorough knowledge in the use of multiple measuring devices, demonstrated ability to use within specified tolerance, and skilled in close tolerance work.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
