Position Overview:

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited dietetics program and hold a current license/registration with the Commission for Dietetic Registration (CDR). An active dietetics license in Louisiana is mandatory. Additional knowledge or certification in physical fitness or personal training is advantageous.

Experience:
A minimum of three to five years of experience in dietetics is required, along with strong competencies in:
- Team collaboration
- Organizational skills
- Time management
- Effective communication
- Interpersonal relations

Responsibilities:
The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for:
- Conducting individual Medical Nutrition Therapy and group nutrition counseling sessions for clients.
- Supporting, motivating, and educating clients on sustainable healthy eating and exercise habits.
- Assessing, designing, and evaluating personalized meal and fitness plans for clients within the service area.
- Providing nutritional counseling tailored to clients' lifestyles, health needs, and nutritional requirements.
- Monitoring and adjusting meal plans based on ongoing assessments of clients' nutrition and activity needs.
- Developing culturally appropriate nutrition strategies and delivering recommendations to healthcare providers as necessary.
- Documenting client progress and collaborating with families to facilitate dietary changes.

Community Engagement:
The Registered Dietitian will also:
- Present nutritional information at community events and speaking engagements.
- Translate complex nutrition science into practical advice for clients.

Additional Information:
This position is part-time and includes benefits such as 401(k), health insurance, and paid time off. The Registered Dietitian will be expected to travel within the service area to provide nutrition education and counseling regularly.
