Position Summary

The Patient Admission Specialist is essential in assisting individuals during the registration and arrival process for both scheduled and unscheduled appointments.

This role involves accurately collecting demographic and insurance information, as well as obtaining any known patient liabilities at the time of service.

The Specialist is also responsible for financial clearance tasks for designated scheduled accounts during registration downtime.

The ideal candidate will interact with patients and team members in a courteous, professional, and respectful manner to ensure positive experiences.

Occasional travel between locations and extended hours may be required based on departmental needs.
Qualifications
Education

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in a registration role
Skills
Proficient in computer and typing skills
Strong customer service abilities and a talent for engaging with the public and colleagues
Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Skilled at handling a high volume of interactions and urgent requests
Understanding of confidentiality requirements
Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.
Certifications
CHAA certification is preferred.
