About You In Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing services in a supportive and collaborative environment. As an LPN at About You In Home Care, you will play a crucial role in our team, delivering direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care. Your responsibilities will include administering medications and treatments as per physician orders, closely monitoring patient health status, and assisting with procedures and treatments. You will also educate patients and their guardians about health conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures. Key Responsibilities:
  • Nursing Care: Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring all medical protocols are followed.
  • Health Monitoring: Assess and monitor the health status of patients, including vital signs, symptoms, and overall response to treatment.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their guardians on health conditions and treatment plans, emphasizing preventive care strategies.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement tailored care plans for each patient.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Current LPN license in the state of Mississippi.
  • Previous experience in pediatric nursing is preferred but not required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient-centered approach to care, with a high level of compassion and empathy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • A strong commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
