Maintenance Manager Job Description

Petro Star is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance department at the Valdez Refinery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our refinery equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program that aligns with industry best practices.
  • Lead the planning and execution of refinery turnarounds, focusing on scope development, maintenance job planning, and contractor selection.
  • Supervise maintenance personnel to ensure safe and efficient execution of plant maintenance.
  • Build the capabilities of the maintenance team through training and development.
  • Oversee the work order flow and tracking via Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Develop and manage the annual routine and major maintenance expense budget/plans.
  • Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) Policy and Procedures.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree from a two-year college in a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years minimum supervisory experience in a reliability or maintenance setting in the chemical, oil refinery, power, or pulp and paper industries.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Windows, MS Office, and experience with SQL & Destiny.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management Techniques and Turnaround and Project management experience preferred.
