The Water Treatment Sales Consultant will play a crucial role in identifying, nurturing, and managing both existing and prospective client accounts within the designated market area. This position involves collaborating closely with clients to deliver customized water treatment solutions that meet their unique requirements. This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage current accounts, secure orders, and establish new client relationships by effectively organizing daily schedules to engage with existing and potential sales outlets.
  • Lead all sales activities within the assigned territory, including generating leads, conducting cold calls, and setting appointments.
  • Promote and sell maintenance services to both new and existing Chem-Aqua clients.
  • Provide hands-on service to accounts, which may include chemical testing, calibration, and repair of chemical feed equipment, as well as conducting visual inspections of systems as necessary.
  • Plan and execute service and sales calls, including regular reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
  • Identify emerging business needs and opportunities, developing tailored solutions for our clients.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred.
  • Experience in water treatment, environmental health and safety, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of proven sales experience with a successful track record.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with experience collaborating across multiple locations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks in environments involving HVAC, cooling towers, or boiler equipment, which may expose the individual to chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Must maintain good physical condition, as the role requires frequent mobility to and from job sites.
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including some weekends based on client needs.
  • Physical activities may include climbing ladders (10-30 feet) while carrying equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Ability to wear protective gear as required.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 35% of the time.
