Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Preservation and Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our preservation and maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing supportive duties as directed and working under immediate supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to and comply with all company and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Be familiar with all safety equipment.
  • Diagnose deviations from Vendor/Client procedural standards.
  • Ensure JOVIX is working as per design and alert Supervision of any deviation in Vendor/Client schedule, preservation, or maintenance procedure of tagged equipment.
  • Lead diagnosis and rectification of faults on equipment packages.
  • Deliver scheduled or planned preservation and maintenance activities.
  • Interface with Client Representatives and Contracted Vendors to ensure timely resolution of problems.
  • Support, mentor, and cross-train junior Preservation and Maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure equipment is correctly and clearly tagged.
  • Help ensure the equipment and skid is kept clean.
  • Report and address any leaks.
  • Ensure package instrumentation is in good working order and report any defects.
  • Ensure package pipe work, small bore tubing, and flexible hose defects are reported and addressed.
  • Ensure rotating equipment and package auxiliary systems are maintained and preserved to Vendor/Client specifications.
  • Identify and investigate issues generated by Client condition of preservation and maintenance performance.
  • Optimize handheld JOVIX data logger and schedule data collection.
  • Assist Commissioning Technicians as requested.
  • Ensure post-installation preservation and maintenance activities are carried out and equipment is left in a satisfactory condition.
  • Log and collect routine lubrication samples as required.
  • Assist Materials Engineer in ensuring received equipment is properly tagged, inspected, and stored.
  • Manage Preservation and Maintenance consumable supplies and tools.
  • Ensure all package defects have clear and concise work orders raised and scheduled.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience as a Mechanical/Electrical Technician or equivalent.
  • Sound understanding of control systems and instrumentation.
  • Previous experience working with rotating equipment and their auxiliary systems.
  • Experience interpreting technical operating manuals, drawings, catalogues, and reports.
  • Knowledge of safety hazards associated with construction of offshore platforms, high-speed industrial rotating equipment, or similar industrial hazards.
  • Knowledge of industrial rotating equipment.
  • Working knowledge of JOVIX work management system.
  • A high school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma and three to five years related experience.
  • A valid Texas Driver's License.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Regularly standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, talking or hearing, and tasting or smelling.
  • Lifting and/or moving a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Working in high areas and confined spaces or on scaffolding.
  • Wearing a full-body harness within safety limits as per OSHA standards.
  • Using rigging and crane signals.
Work Environment

The work environment for this role includes:

  • Regularly working overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload.
  • Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration.
  • Loud noise levels.
