Home Care Aide

Our Home Care Aides play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our participants by delivering compassionate support in their homes. As integral members of our interdisciplinary team (IDT), they contribute significantly to the care planning process.

Under the supervision of the Home Care Supervisor, the Home Care Aide is responsible for providing safe and effective personal care services to WelbeHealth participants as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Caregiver will deliver hands-on personal care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) for WelbeHealth participants, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and safe transfers.
  • Support participants with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), such as laundry, light housekeeping, and shopping.
  • Record and monitor participants' vital signs as directed.
  • Assist with light meal preparation and ensure participants are well-nourished and hydrated.
  • Facilitate safe transfers in and out of homes and provide medical escort services as needed.
  • Support the Rehabilitation department by implementing home exercise programs as outlined in the care plan, following appropriate training.
  • Provide translation services when qualified.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / First Aid Certification is required.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.
  • Must be registered with the Department of Social Services Home Care Registry prior to employment.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.

Compensation for this role ranges from $20 to $22.93 per hour, plus bonuses and equity. WelbeHealth offers a competitive total rewards package, including 401k matching, healthcare coverage, and a variety of other benefits. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
