Job Title: Recreation Therapist

At UHS, we are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for providing recreation therapy program oversight, including performance management and staff development of expressive therapy services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' leisure and recreational activities to develop age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups.
  • Establish behavioral treatment goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Cedar Ridge.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans for patients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related recreation therapy field.
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification.
  • One to three years of experience in recreation therapy, preferably working with a mental health population.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent communication skills.
