Job Summary

A.T. Still University's Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) is seeking a full-time non-exempt Clinical Care Manager to oversee D3/D4 students' clinical progress, productivity, and utilization of time in the Comprehensive Care Units. The successful candidate will coordinate the treatment of active patients, manage patient families, and ensure regular patient visits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patients' clinical care in Comprehensive Care Units
  • Study and manage patient families for D3 and D4 students, ensuring regular patient visits
  • Ensure each patient is placed on appropriate recall once care is completed, following the St. Louis Dental Center Recall Plan
  • Monitor students' clinical productivity, manage open time slots on students' schedules, and analyze patient family spreadsheets
  • Manage student attendance and accountability, reporting to CCU Directors and Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs and Advanced Dental Education
  • Schedule, coordinate, and support monthly student progress meetings
  • Analyze the Student Monthly Clinical Progress report, highlighting areas of concern and developing lists of potential solutions or corrective actions
  • Study the completion of Essential Experiences for each student in their Comprehensive Care Unit, advising the CCU Director and Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs when progress is unsatisfactory
  • Monitor the completion of competencies by each student and make recommendations for patient transfer, if needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Education or health field degree preferred
  • Dental background desirable but not required
  • Public Health background desirable but not required
  • Experience in administration, leadership, strategic planning, policy development, and collaboration required
  • Patient/client coordination experience desirable
  • Experience with project management or development and implementation of new programs highly desirable
  • 2-3 years of experience
