Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cytologist to join our team at Actalent. As a Cytologist, you will play a critical role in examining and studying cells to detect evidence of cancer, hormonal abnormalities, and other pathological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and study cells to detect evidence of cancer, hormonal abnormalities, and other pathological conditions
  • Work independently interpreting and classifying cellular material preliminary to diagnosis by the Pathologist
  • Formal training and certification in Cytology, including a baccalaureate degree and successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited Cytology program
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and physicians
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • ASCP certification (CT)
  • Ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours per day
  • Focus on small objects for extended periods of time
  • Finger dexterity and arm/hand steadiness
  • Distinguish colors and visual acuity
