Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Supervisor to join our team at Northside Hospital Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Leadership: Direct and coordinate the daily activities of assigned department, including budget, personnel, patient care, and regulatory compliance.
  • Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison between the assigned department and referring physician's offices, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Staff Management: Interview, train, orient, counsel, evaluate, and administer disciplinary action to staff members as needed.
  • Scheduling and Time Management: Schedule personnel, approve paid time off (PTO), and authorize time and attendance.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Assist the Manager in developing and monitoring capital and operating budgets for the cost center.
  • Quality Improvement: Monitor the quality of scans and procedures in the department, and assist the Manager in developing and administering the Quality Improvement Plan and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report on equipment, personnel, and other issues through management team meetings and written reports.
  • Technical Expertise: Regularly perform the duties and responsibilities of a Technologist (NM, US, or IR).
  • Safety and Compliance: Practice proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures, and immediately report any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to the Manager.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate service excellence behaviors routinely in encounters with all customers, coworkers, patients, visitors, physicians, auxilians, etc.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Registration: Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the AART.
  • Experience: Three years of clinical experience as a Registered Rad Tech.
  • Certifications: Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
