The HR Operations Specialist will manage the administrative functions within the Human Resources Department. This role involves supporting the HR team with onboarding, offboarding, maintaining employee records, and providing initial assistance to all staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes for new employees, including benefits enrollment.
  • Maintain employee documentation and oversee I-9 verification processes.
  • Conduct audits and perform data entry for HR information in various systems.
  • Stay informed on HR-related systems, documentation, and processes, offering suggestions for enhancements.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and legal standards in Human Resources.
  • Cross-train with colleagues to ensure backup support as needed.
  • Assist the recruitment team as required.
  • Support Employee Relations matters with guidance from the HR Manager.
  • Organize and support employee engagement events, leading a team of volunteers to coordinate activities across various locations.
  • Assist with facilities management at the Corporate Headquarters.
  • Manage the Human Resources Intranet site and update digital displays.
  • Provide mentorship to HR Interns.
  • Engage in HR-related projects as assigned.
  • Ensure the accuracy of employee data in HRIS (ADP).
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as necessary.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively with a dynamic team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • A degree in Human Resources or a related business field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with benefits administration, open enrollment, recruitment, and personnel file management.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now.
  • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.
  • Experience in a professional office environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required, with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across all levels of a professional setting.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
