In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering our vision for GSK and patients. You will work closely with senior leaders within GSK's R&D organization to define opportunities for external technology innovation and transform their teams' capabilities to progress the medicine discovery and development portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structure deals and negotiate with potential partners.
  • Lead R&D, legal, finance, and commercial matrix teams throughout the entire deal process.
  • Drive forward investment proposals through GSK governance and decision-making processes.
  • Closing deals and contracting in partnership with legal, finance, and other areas of GSK.
  • Build and maintain a strong external network and presence within the innovation ecosystem.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with potential external partners throughout the scouting and deal process.
  • Coordinate with GSK's Alliance Management team to manage relationships post-deal signing to ensure value maximization.

Why You?

  • Advanced degree (such as MS, MBA, PhD, PharmD, JD, MD).
  • 5+ years of experience working in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, search & evaluation, or alliance management; deal sheet submission is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD, PharmD, or MD.
  • Scientific experience in genetics, biochemistry, biology, data analytics, and machine learning in the life sciences context.
  • Experience in all aspects of the pharmaceutical R&D process from early discovery through to marketed products.
  • Ideal experience in a BD role that includes both Search & Evaluation and Transactions experience.
  • Experience creating preliminary and full investment cases and communicating these to senior leaders.
  • Previous project leadership experience managing matrixed teams.
  • Experience forming and leading ad-hoc teams of experts.
  • Experience presenting to senior-level leaders and key stakeholders.
