Position Overview
Tecta & Schwickerts is seeking a skilled Project Manager/Estimator specializing in roofing solutions. This role is crucial for overseeing the bidding process for repair and re-roofing projects, ensuring efficient project management from initial concept through to final execution.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree (BS) or equivalent from an accredited institution is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Familiarity with various roofing systems is advantageous, but not essential.
- Experience or a strong interest in the construction industry is recommended.
Key Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for conveying instructions, correspondence, and memos effectively.
- Ability to perform calculations involving figures and amounts, including discounts and basic geometry.
- Proficient in using software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with superintendents to assess labor production capabilities.
- Engage with production teams to comprehend production processes.
- Analyze assigned plans and specifications to determine material and labor needs.
- Interpret contract details and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with fellow project managers/estimators to strategize material orders and subcontractor engagements.
- Review and authorize invoices, material slips, and purchase orders.
- Examine contracts and proposals to ensure compliance with company policies and project scope.
- Maintain open lines of communication with clients to update them on project progress and address any issues.
- Document change orders, prepare submittals, and uphold safety and quality standards.
- Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits:
Tecta & Schwickerts offers a comprehensive compensation package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, paid time off, and paid holidays. Salary range is based on experience, typically between $75,000 and $100,000.
