CEI Senior Inspector Job Description

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) is seeking a highly skilled CEI Senior Inspector to join our team in overseeing the inspection of construction projects. As a seasoned professional with a passion for excellence in construction engineering and inspection, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of infrastructure in Florida.

Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders through verbal and written English language skills.
  • Understand and apply Department procedures related to project duties and demonstrate proficiency in relevant computer programs.
  • Exercise independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to field aspects of the project.
  • Perform complex technical assignments, including field surveying, construction layout, engineering computations, construction work inspections, and field tests.
  • Coordinate and supervise lower-level inspectors.
  • Work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. For candidates with engineering, engineering technology, or construction management degrees, a minimum of one year of CEI experience in the construction of roadway or bridge structures is required. For candidates without these degrees, a minimum of four years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction is required.
  • A valid Driver's License with a safe driving record is required, and a pre-employment screening must be completed.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • ICE is a drug-free workplace.

  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
  • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (mandatory for inspection of all drilled shafts, including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structure foundations)
  • CTQP Grouting Technician Level I
  • CTQP Post-Tensioning Technician Level I
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety
  • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
Physical Demands:

This position requires minimal lifting of up to 50 pounds sometimes on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to travel and tour work sites under adverse environmental conditions, including loud noise levels, high dust and dirt, and extreme temperatures.

Expected Hours of Work:

This position is full-time (40 hours per week) with office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. While overtime is generally not anticipated, occasional projects or deadlines may necessitate additional hours, compensated according to company policy.
