This role involves the assessment, design, and construction engineering for water and wastewater treatment facilities, civil infrastructure, and industrial sites. Key responsibilities include managing low to medium voltage power distribution systems, process control systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, security systems, and communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluation, design, and construction engineering for various facilities, including water/wastewater treatment and civil infrastructure.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation such as reports, specifications, and reviews.
  • Coordinate effectively with other design disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects to ensure a cohesive set of bidding documents.
  • Develop accurate construction cost estimates.
  • Perform site inspections for studies, design, and construction projects.
  • Conduct field visits to assess contractor work and resolve related issues.
  • Oversee contractor's demonstration testing of electrical equipment during field visits.
  • Mentor junior staff and delegate tasks as necessary.
  • Monitor budgetary status for assigned projects.
  • Assist in the development of proposals for selected project pursuits.

Essential Functions:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent personal organization and time management abilities.
  • Adept at building strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Capable of working independently on multiple projects while adhering to budgets and schedules.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams and Bluebeam.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Experience:

  • 10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the water/wastewater sector.
  • Solid understanding of the National Electric Code.
  • Familiarity with industrial control system narratives and P&IDs is advantageous.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Revit, and AutoCAD is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Must hold a Registered Professional Engineer license.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
