Job Summary

The Vice President, Maintenance and Construction is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility and rides maintenance and construction at Knott's Berry Farm and Knott's Soak City Buena Park.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to the Maintenance and Construction Division, ensuring alignment with local and corporate goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with associates at all levels and external contacts, utilizing various formats of communication.
  • Meet weekly with department supervision to ensure cross-divisional coordination and alignment with company policies.
  • Ensure the continued safety of guests and employees, developing and implementing safety procedures and policies.
  • Oversee the smooth and efficient operation of rides, seasonal events, attractions, and infrastructure, providing planning, maintenance, and repair.
  • Establish guest standards and policies, promoting excellence in guest service and improving the overall guest experience.
  • Propose, develop, and monitor Maintenance and Capital budgets, ensuring alignment with short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with other Six Flags properties, driving or participating in corporate goals and objective creation and implementation.
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of a large and diverse staff, including recruitment, hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop departmental staff to ensure continuity and personal growth of divisional leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Industrial Technology, with an emphasis in Engineering or a closely related field.
  • At least 10+ years of related work experience, with 5+ years of management/leadership experience.
  • Valid driver's license and up to 5% business travel required.
  • General knowledge of engineering principles, bio-dynamics, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with the Amusement Industry and all applicable codes, standards, and common practices.
