Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Sp Unit team as a leader in healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will provide professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct others through the change process, utilizing effective communication strategies and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and/or contribute to the individualized plan of care, ensuring it reflects assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the outcomes of that plan.
  • Ensure patient safety by utilizing the five rights, preventing falls, decubitus prevention, and nosocomial infections.
  • Provide an optimal patient care experience by actively listening to the needs of patients and family members, and taking responsibility for meeting those identified needs.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, including planning, measuring/monitoring, assessing, and improving.
  • Adhere to LMP Workplace Safety principles and practices, applying standard precautions and maintaining a safe environment for self and others.
Requirements
  • Uphold Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
  • Champions new ideas, prioritizes, delegates, and supervises work assignments appropriately to ensure completion of patient care activities.
  • Complies with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
  • Ensures effective development and completion of discharge plans, including discharge barriers and patient/family education.
