Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our anesthesia team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist anesthesia providers with equipment preparation and maintenance
  • Monitor and maintain anesthesia machines and related equipment
  • Provide support to patients and healthcare teams
  • Participate in creating a high-performance culture
  • Assist with regional blocks and lines as requested
  • Perform daily QI on all machines related to anesthesia and result reporting
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an Accredited program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree OR certified by the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
  • Ability to comprehend and carry out hospital policies and procedures
  • Ability to work in stressful situations and respond rapidly to requests
  • Basic Life Support required at hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) - three (3) years of anesthesia tech experience
  • Advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Basic hygiene concepts
  • Good body mechanics and safe lifting techniques
  • Independent worker able to prioritize activities and work quickly, self-motivated
  • Knowledge and understanding of sterile technique
  • Good listening skills
