We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team at PurposeEnergy LLC. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repair of equipment at our industrial food and beverage anaerobic digestion facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and perform work on plant and equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, piping, racks, and supports.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, including controls, instruments, control panels, and low-voltage wiring.
- Assist with the maintenance of heat exchangers, glycol loops, and CIP flushing systems.
- Operate and maintain biogas fueled generators, including oil changes, filter changes, and lash valve adjustments.
- Perform fabrication and repair of equipment using welding and cutting techniques.
- Assist with the maintenance of permit requirements and assist with other tasks as needed.
- 5 years of relevant construction and/or industrial maintenance experience.
- Higher level of mechanical aptitude and knowledge of how processes and equipment are integrated.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Indoors and outdoors throughout the year, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 75 lbs., working overhead, on the ground, on ladders, on tanks, in pits.
- Employee should have their own basic hand and cordless work tools. Company will provide larger and/or specific tools and PPE.
- Current work is split between two facilities approximately five miles apart in South Burlington, VT with travel twice a week to a farm digester in Highgate, VT and Middlebury, VT location coming online in early spring.
- Up to one day a week in the regional office, 4-5 days per week traveling to area facilities.
- $25 - $35 / hr. depending on relevant experience.
