We are seeking a charismatic educator to lead our academic department, providing instructional leadership and enhancing articulation regarding curriculum alignment with standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspiring Teaching Excellence: Teach two classes and co-teach periods as assigned, model teaching excellence, and assist teachers in developing strategies to improve instruction.
  • Department Leadership: Chair department meetings, establish performance goals, and review alignment with PD offerings. Conduct informal and formal observations, evaluations, and classroom walk-throughs.
  • Curricular Design and Direction: Review lesson plans, develop standards-aligned pacing guides, and implement new programs. Provide leadership to department committees and recommend supplementary materials.
  • Assessment and Data-Driven Management: Select and interpret evaluation data, provide customized feedback, and help administer tests. Develop strategies to improve instruction and host content-focused family engagement workshops.

We offer a competitive salary of $105,000 per year, 12-month term of employment, and eligibility for the state pension plan.
