Administrative Assistant for Special Education

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Special Education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our educators and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to our Special Education team, including scheduling appointments, processing mail, and answering phones.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of financial expenditures.
- Oversee data management and electronic student files within our Special Education software (SIRAS).
- Support and train staff in SIRAS management and file maintenance.
- Assist in submitting reports to the district office, SELPA, and state agencies.
- Coordinate meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain confidential student and personnel records.
- Generate and/or credit written communication from the Consortium.
- Order necessary educational materials.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of state and federal reimbursement programs.
- Assist in the coordination of special education related interpretation and translation services.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years or 48 units of college credit.
- Preferably four (4) years of experience in an office environment, ideally in the public sector.
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, and equipment.
- Knowledge of financial record keeping techniques.
- Daily use of common software such as Microsoft Office and/or Google Drive Suite.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including retirement benefits. This is a part-time position, approximately 24 hours per week, with a regular schedule of Tuesday-Friday, 8:00-2:30.
