In this dynamic position, you will take charge of the assembly, editing, color correction, audio mixing, and archiving of short-form video content designed to educate and motivate filmmakers and photographers within Nikon's imaging division, which encompasses mirrorless cameras, lenses, accessories, and software solutions.

Your innovative ideas and techniques will enhance our team and our audience, providing education through video production as well as through live demonstrations and workshops at various industry events and internal training programs.

This role will be integrated within the Product Marketing team as part of the Imaging sector and will work collaboratively with Communications and other departments.

The video content produced in this role will be utilized across Nikon's platforms, including online, social media, and live events.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate in a fast-paced environment to organize, optimize, and deliver post-production video outputs according to a pre-established monthly schedule of Nikon-branded video content.

Creatively edit footage from productions into captivating videos for content ranging from expert interviews to short documentaries, product tutorials, highlight reels, camera demonstrations, and event coverage.

Perform sound mixing, color correction, and color grading of video content following the finalization of each edit.

Occasionally edit audio-first content and adapt existing 16x9 videos for social media formats.

Maintain internal visibility into the status of deliverables through regular updates in a project management tool.

Develop templates to enhance the efficiency of post-production in frequently utilized scenarios such as introductory titles, lower third graphics, and standardized motion graphics.

Engage with teams and clients to demonstrate and share expertise in post-production.

Possess a deep understanding of various social media platforms, trends, formats, and best practices.

Participate in industry events, trade shows, and internal training initiatives.

Willingness to travel overnight as necessary to fulfill key responsibilities.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong background in video editing with familiarity in all aspects of post-production.

Ability to closely adhere to pre-production documents while editing scripted video content.

Capability to weave unscripted footage into compelling narratives that result in engaging videos.

Results-oriented and deadline-driven with a proven ability to deliver on commitments in a timely manner.

Proficient in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Comfortable with After Effects and Pro Tools or Audition.

Adept at incorporating feedback into edits and adjusting creative direction as needed.

Willingness to travel up to 25% (including overnight travel) for industry events and shoots.

Ability to work outside of standard hours as required to meet job responsibilities.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in video editing.

Experience as a video editor in an agency, in-house content team, production studio, or brand, preferably within a large to mid-sized global organization.

B.A. in Film/TV Production or Video Production is required.
