Kidney Liver Transplant Clinical Nursing Director

About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for our Solid Organ Transplant/Complex Surgical Progressive Care Unit is a hybrid Charge RN/Leadership role that functions to deliver high-quality patient-centered care while overseeing the coordination of department processes. The CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a clinical resource person for patients and bedside staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values.
In this role, you will assist with admission and discharge processes, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and support a patient-first philosophy. You will also engage in routine Nurse Leader Rounding, provide service recovery when necessary, and operationalize current nursing strategies to improve engagement and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
- Collaborate with staff daily to support a positive environment of teamwork that results in quality patient outcomes, service excellence, and staff satisfaction.
