About the Role

Stanford University's Graduate School of Business is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Major Gifts Associate to join our External Relations Office. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in securing significant financial resources for the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to our major gift officers, including budgeting, reimbursements, and gift processing.
  • Manage preparations for donor meetings and development officer travel, including developing itineraries and drafting briefings.
  • Research prospects and donors, update records, and generate reports using our external relations database.
  • Assist in the design, publication, and production of select fundraising and communications materials.
  • Build professional relationships with colleagues across campus and stay informed on current university initiatives and activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office, the Google suite, Zoom, and working proficiency with basic spreadsheet formulas and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of database systems, such as Excel, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to work efficiently, juggle tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Outstanding communication skills and exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Discretion in working with highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Comfort with technology and data management preferred.
  • Valid California Non-commercial Class Driver's License.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule.
