We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Portage Online. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for installing and assembling machinery and equipment in a fast-paced production environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Install and assemble machinery and equipment according to manufacturer's instructions and company standards
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
  • Operate hand power tools, such as impact guns, wrenches, and screwdrivers
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production operations

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • 1-2 years of experience in a production or assembly environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift objects repeatedly and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
