Job Description

The General Manager is responsible for managing the entire store operation, leading the management team, and ensuring the achievement of store and profit goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maximizing store profitability through managing controllable expenses, optimizing revenue streams, and leading a high-performing team
  • Managing the fuel offer where applicable
  • Ensuring customer and associate satisfaction, brand standards, and profitability
  • Selecting, developing, and effectively leading a highly engaged team
Principal Duties

The General Manager will be responsible for:

  • Meet or exceed key performance metric targets/projections
  • Deliver budgeted merchandise gross profit by executing the merchandise plan
  • Manage financial plans for the store by reviewing and interpreting financial reports
  • Ensure execution of all plans
  • Analyze income statement and utilize reports to ensure store's profitability
  • Manage inventory to maximize sales, control costs, and reduce waste
  • Manage cash management procedures
  • Analyze results and trends from audits and take appropriate action
  • Ensure conditions across the store meet or exceed standards for safety, service, and operational efficiency
  • Manage all safety programs and ensure proper execution and compliance
  • Report and document all customer and associate incidents
  • Ensure compliance to all federal and local laws and company policies and procedures
Essential Functions

Basic Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Experience leading, selecting, training, performance management of staff, sales building, labor allocation & scheduling, managing expenses
  • Experience effectively implementing change and demonstrated results in execution
  • Experienced in all areas of store operations, including foodservice
  • Flexible availability which may include all shifts, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment preferred
  • Serve Safe Certification
  • Proven and consistently demonstrated skills in the following:
