Job Overview

The role of the Maintenance Controls Technician is essential in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring high-quality production standards. As a key member of the Maintenance Team, you will focus on delivering effective solutions that bolster process reliability and overall plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing technical diagrams and documentation, including schematics and manuals.
  • Maintaining comprehensive backup and revision records for control systems and instrumentation.
  • Overseeing SCADA systems within an industrial environment.
  • Installing, configuring, calibrating, and maintaining various control and measurement instruments.
  • Programming and configuring Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC).
  • Organizing and procuring PLC components to ensure optimal plant process control.
  • Collaborating with IT personnel on network and computer-related tasks.
  • Preparing detailed technical reports to document equipment issues and modifications.
  • Managing projects aimed at implementing enhancements and changes.
  • Being available for on-call support to meet production demands.
  • Installing and terminating electrical, pneumatic, and fluid connections.
  • Conducting inspections and tests on instruments and systems to identify faults.
  • Repairing, adjusting, and replacing components as necessary.
  • Calibrating systems and components to maintain accuracy.
  • Assisting engineering teams with plant design, modifications, and hazard assessments.
  • Maintaining various computer-based control systems.
  • Executing scheduled maintenance programs to ensure operational reliability.
  • Staying informed about technological advancements in the industry.
Instrument Proficiency

The instruments you will work with include transmitters, analyzers, sensors, detectors, signal conditioners, recorders, controllers, and final control elements, which are crucial for measuring and controlling variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level, motion, force, and chemical composition.
