Job Title: Bank Information Technology Director

At The Symicor Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bank Information Technology Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing select technical aspects of third-party implementations, ensuring that these initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and with high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and prioritize the activities of the software development team.
  • Provide technical development oversight for internal developers and third-party partners.
  • Design, code, and implement systems and software applications as needed to ensure the success of the solution.
  • Develop architectural solutions for systems, databases, user interfaces, and web services.
  • Conceptualize software systems to address the specific needs of businesses and customers.
  • Conduct cost analysis to ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Guide, coach, and mentor software development engineers.
  • Work closely with management, business stakeholders, customers, vendors, and developers to guide high-level decisions throughout the process.
  • Provide project management and technical leadership for every aspect of the software.
  • Supervise resource allocation to assure the attainment of apt business and personnel development goals.
  • Manage and appropriately escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated with the initiative.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Ensure the accuracy and performance of solutions meet company and customer requirements.
  • Prepare lifecycle for different projects inclusive of research, development, design, evaluation, and testing along with delivery to product management.
  • Supervise architecture and lead efforts to develop the technical roadmap of all projects.
  • Evaluate projects, develop and update schedules, and supervise project status.
  • Analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related duties.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of software development experience and one or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Maintains knowledge of leading-edge technology.
  • Must possess Software Development Management experience.
  • Must possess Financial Services Industry experience.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of the financial services industry.
  • Experience with Jack Henry and Associates SilverLake preferred.
  • Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship-building skills, and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships.
