Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Rooftop Server to join our team at LiLLiStar. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the dining area by setting and detailing tables, ensuring a clean and inviting atmosphere for our guests.
  • Assist guests in selecting food and beverages by presenting menu offerings, making recommendations, and answering questions about our menu.
  • Inform guests about our restaurant's offerings, including menu items, specials, and promotions.
  • Protect our establishment and guests by adhering to all policies and procedures, including sanitation standards, safety protocols, and alcohol control measures.
  • Stay up-to-date on current menu choices, menu additions, and unavailable items to ensure accurate ordering and preparation.
  • Transmit orders to the bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices and ringing in items on the POS system.
  • Ensure that guests' orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner, with the correct accompaniments.
  • Respond to additional guest requests, involving a manager if necessary.
  • Maintain table settings by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, and refilling water glasses.
  • Describe, open, and pour wine tableside, ensuring a professional and polished experience for our guests.
  • Correctly obtain payment by totaling charges, issuing bills, and returning change or credit card slips.
  • Retrieve signed credit card or room charge slips prior to guest departure and thank them for their visit.
  • Contribute to the team effort by assisting other staff members as needed.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by management.
  • Fill in for absent staff members as needed.
  • Assist with special events as required.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  • Promptly address guest service issues and refer to management when necessary.
Requirements
  • Previous serving experience required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required.
  • Positive interpersonal skills required.
  • Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
  • Physically able to carry 35 pounds and stand, bend, and move throughout the shift.
  • Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.
  • Works well and efficiently under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of staff and management.
