Your Responsibilities:
- Receive service requests from the Service Resource Center, including brief descriptions of equipment/system issues.
- Engage with customer representatives to identify equipment/system problems.
- Conduct service and repairs on fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
- This includes but is not limited to wet (steel, copper, and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge systems, and fire pumps.
- Adhere to established troubleshooting protocols and consult technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins to diagnose and rectify equipment issues.
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals to ensure accurate service delivery.
- Demonstrate effective customer service skills by maintaining communication with district staff and clients to guarantee complete satisfaction.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements electronically with appropriate coding and secure customer signatures.
- Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications We Seek:
- 5 years of verified experience in Fire Protection Services
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational manuals
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Willingness to travel is essential.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions. Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
- Able to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment up to 40 feet, and working in confined spaces.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation schedule, with overnight travel as necessary.
- Exhibit a high level of customer service and maintain truck inventory for timely responses to customer requests.
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a quick learning ability.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NICET Level II Certification
- Backflow Prevention License
