Responsibilities:

As a Fire Alarm Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, as well as providing technical support and training to customers and colleagues. You will work with low-voltage wiring and associated devices, complete service acknowledgements, and follow a structured inspection schedule. You will also provide technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and operational manuals
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot systems and perform necessary repairs
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders and working within ducts
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements
  • Ability to adhere to and implement safety guidelines and procedures
  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes
  • Successful completion of the Inspector Entrée Course (Electrical or Sprinkler)
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service and ability to work well with others
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Special Hazards experience
  • Fire pump experience
  • Service background
  • NICET Level II certification
  • Backflow License
  • Familiarity with sprinkler systems and extinguishers
