We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) who will play a crucial role in ensuring that all clients within the AMIkids Program receive appropriate medical care in accordance with National, State, and Contracting Organization standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily triage (sick call) as per established policies.
- Oversee the administration of medications and maintain accurate Medication Administration Records for program participants.
- Manage medication procurement, verification, perpetual inventories, and ensure proper storage in compliance with Federal, State, and contractual guidelines.
- Ensure that follow-up instructions from off-campus healthcare providers are adhered to and documented in the Electronic Medical Records and/or Individual Health Care Records as required.
- Conduct and document medical-related training sessions for team members.
- Communicate daily with Administration and/or Shift Supervisor prior to sick call and perform shift-to-shift medication counts at the end of each day.
- Facilitate and document health education sessions for youth and their families as necessary.
- Collaborate with other department team members and participate in treatment teams regarding the medical needs of youth.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must possess a clear and active nursing license and degree, in good standing within the State of employment.
- Preferred experience in pediatric nursing and/or within a correctional facility.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
