Job SummaryThe Emergency Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department, which is a 48-bed unit with a team nursing and pod system. The ideal candidate will have experience in trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including ESRD, substance abuse disorders, and psychological disorders.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Provide education and training to staff members on emergency nursing practices and procedures.
- Current RN licensure in the state of New Mexico.
- 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, preferably in a level III trauma center.
- ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
