POSITION SUMMARY:

RWB is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee a dedicated group of engineers, designers, and technicians focused on delivering new product development initiatives efficiently and within budgetary constraints. This role involves collaboration with RWB's Product Management, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure that custom part engineering meets lead time objectives, cost parameters, and design standards. Additionally, the Engineering Manager will support Manufacturing and Quality departments to guarantee customer satisfaction and will liaise with Sales and Customer Service teams to integrate customer feedback into product enhancements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee departmental workload to align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Recruit and allocate staff based on current and anticipated workloads.
  • Establish departmental and individual performance goals that support the overall business strategy.
  • Manage departmental budgets effectively.
  • Ensure that inspection, design, and performance capabilities meet product requirements.
  • Enhance design practices and processes continuously.
  • Drive improvements in engineering methodologies, systems, and processes.
  • Act as a project manager for significant engineering and product initiatives.
  • Assist the sales team in customer communications as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering and product development.
  • Proficient in advanced mathematics and computer applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software.
  • Experience in the racing, motorsports, or automotive industries is preferred.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
